Mathias SimaoRegistered Osteopath
Mathias is an osteopath that use different techniques, from functional to structural passing by cranio sacral techniques.
The approach depends of the patient and the conditions presented.
Mathias graduated in 2006 from the British School of Osteopathy, now University College of Osteopathy in 2006, with a Bachelor of osteopathy (B.Ost). Since then he has been practising in Portugal, France, Malaysia and Hong Kong since 2015.
Mathias came across osteopathy when he was studying naturopathy in Portugal. He found the most natural of the medicines in osteopathy. To be able to heal without any foreign substances to the body and just by touch and manipulations.
While graduating in London at the BSO Mathias grabbed all the opportunities to work in the electives clinics, mainly the clinic for young children and babies, sport’s clinic, elderly clinic and the Ian Charleson clinic, HIV clinic at the royal free hospital in London.
Through the different country where he practised Mathias learned different approach to patients and different approaches of osteopathy. From the structural approach of the UK to the more functional and cranio sacral “french” approach to the firmer expectation of the Asian patients.
With his background in naturopathy Mathias as no issues to treat in conjunction with other natural or alternative medicines practitioners and with the allopathic specialists, general practitioners or physiotherapists.
